Chef Greg Luckey
Born in North Bay and moving to the big city as a child, Greg has returned to his roots to be closer to his family. Greg has spent many years in the kitchens of Burlington, ON most notably as sous chef at Canyon Creek Chophouse. Greg started cooking when his very active family was always busy with sports and he learned to cook between games. He then decided to do an apprenticeship expanding his knowledge and love for flavour.
In 2024 Chef Greg was awarded the Red Seal Certification by the College of Trades. The kitchen at 1886 is accredited as an official apprenticeship training facility for new cooks and aspiring chefs.
When not sourcing new local ingredients Chef Greg can be found cheering his Maple Leafs and Blue Jays as well as spending time with his brothers on the ATV trails.
